Exhibitions.co.uk was founded in 1996 By InternetWorks as the only online UK resource for exhibitions and trade fairs. The web site has evolved into one of the leading online directories for those looking for trade shows, events and exhibitions around the UK.

In mid 2006, Tarsus Group plc acquired the web site and has since made it part of a bigger portfolio of online directories for the events industry, which includes TSNN.co.uk and Venues.org.uk.

We have an excellent track record of developing successful B2B directory sites and own numerous other portals.
The exhibitions.co.uk team consists of professionals in IT, database experts, internet marketing, sales and a dedicated project manager. We also have a keen interested in exhibitions and a team of event professionals who have been running events for many years supporting the web site and its evolution.

The exhibitions.co.uk team:

Piers Nicholson (founder)

Piers Nicholson started an independent exhibition audience research company in 1980, and in 1996 decided to start a diary of forthcoming UK exhibitions as a service to the industry. In 1999, the Department of Trade and Industry decided to become the main sponsors of the website, and its scope was greatly expanded. In 2007, the site was acquired by Tarsus Group plc and is set for another phase of expansion, leaving Piers to concentrate on his other main activity - designing sundials.

Stephanie Norris (head of media services)

Stephanie comes from an IT and publishing background. After working for a large publishing house in New Zealand for two years, Stephanie moved to London in 1998. She then spent two years managing a Document Management team for Credit Suisse First Boston, one of London’s leading investment banks.

In 2001 Stephanie moved to Tarsus Group plc, and has spent the last five years managing the talented technical, production and marketing teams. She is responsible for the ongoing development of the exhibitions.co.uk.

Vincent Russell (development)

Since graduating with a first class honours degree in 1994, Vince has worked in all aspects of the IT industry, particularly focusing on software development and databases. Systems Manager for an International mail order management company before moving on to become IT manager at a large mail order fulfillment house, supplying the major newspapers and many broadcasters with branded stores through traditional mail order and online channels.

In 2001, Vince joined Tarsus Group plc and the exhibitions.co.uk team, and currently provides the database and backend tools for the web designers to work their magic and create this great site.

Craig Allen (search marketing manager)

Craig has a 2:1 (Hons) degree in Business Information Technology and worked in many high-end research projects and online environments. These include search engine optimisation (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM) strategy, web development and pay per click (PPC).

His strategic online marketing skills and technical SEO abilities enable exhibitions.co.uk to stay at the top of the search engines and works on promoting the exhibitions.co.uk brand online.
