About the event

In 2010, our charity, Candlelighter's, a Leeds-based children's cancer charity, raised a very satisfying £1,800 from the event. Many thanks to customers for their support.

Now in its second year, the Fair has changed from being solely in the Castle rooms to also taking place in an adjoining marquee in the Castle courtyard. Enter through the marquee foyer where you can leave coats and bags before enjoying a cup of tea or coffee in the new cafe area. That leads into the food hall and then into the main marquee where the majority of exhibitors will feature. There are a few more exhibitors in the glass atrium of the Castle's East Wing before you ascend the elegant staircase to the double restaurant, seating up to 200 guests. Those who prefer to enjoy a glass of champagne or wine first can take a seat in the Stable bar downstairs for a relaxing drink.

The Christmas Fair is run by the organisers of the fabulous Summer Grand Sale every June in the showfield at Ripley Castle, and features the cream of festive companies selling everything you could want to fulfil your Christmas wish list, deck your halls with unusual decorations, feast lavishly and flatter your figure with stunning party wear. Held both inside the Castle itself and in a marquee, you can still enjoy the atmosphere of a family home combined with the historic splendour of a historic castle.
