About the event

This year's show was a true celebration of British Farming and Rural Life, featuring some of the country's finest livestock. This year beef cattle classes aimed for bumper entries and the Show hosted the English National Charolais Show.

Exhibitors come from all over the world to display their magnificent blooms and compete for prestigious award at the Peterborough International Orchid Show.

Vintage agricultural machinery, steam and classic cars had a larger section this year and the demonstrations and parades by these magnificent machines was a treat for all nostalgia buffs. One of the stars of this section was Thorney's 1908 Steam Fire Engine.

The East of England Show is a perfect event for all of the family, with something for everyone to enjoy. Food remained at the heart of the show, with many live demonstrations and the Food Hall contained many of the region's leading food and drink producers. Children also enjoyed participating in the Great British Pasty Challenge and were given the opportunity to cook their own pasty to take home. Children also discovered how their food gets from the farm to their plate.
