How to Prepare for the Event

Create an up-to-date version of your CV and print off multiple copies for the event. You can use these to demonstrate your abilities to a prospective employer plus there will be a CV writing workshop which will use your current CV as a reference point.

Make sure you take a notebook, a pen and business cards (if you have them). The purpose of this event is learning and networking so being able to jot down information and contact details is essential.

Approach the event with an open mind. You will be faced with many career opportunities and pathways, some of which you may never have considered before.

Keep your skills and best attributes at the forefront of your mind. This will enable you to sell yourself when discussing an opportunity with an employer.

Exhibitor information

Information for Exhibitors at London's Union Jack Club Event, 2012

More intimate than our larger Tidworth and Catterick events, this event bring together organisations looking to recruit, train and support and offer franchise opportunities to the highest-calibre and more specialised Service leavers. The event is being organised to a very high standard and all attendees will take away a professional event guide which includes details of all exhibitors for their future reference. For organisations interested in exhibiting at the London event.

Advertising

We produce a high quality event guide to accompany each event which is distributed to all attendees. We have advertising opportunities within the guide and, for an additional cost, we offer an advert design service. You can view a previous event guide here for examples of the advertising space available to you. Please download the booking form which contains full details of the advertising options.

Exposure Potential

This year, more than 300 attendees from the Armed Forces community are expected at the event. With the Ministry of Defence recently having announced 54000+ new redundancies by 2015, these attendees will have a very real interest in finding employment, training and resettlement support opportunities. A stand at the BFRS Virtual Career Fair is also included in all exhibitor packages. This is an online version of the event which is accessible by anyone, anywhere in the world and will provide you with online exposure.
