Stanco

Exhibitions have just completed their busiest period in the history of the company

but haven’t slowed down yet; the Stanco team kicked off their Autumn season by servicing

9 high profile, all service shows in just two weeks!

Autumn

Gift Fair started proceedings with a shell scheme build of over 4500m2 closely

followed by DSEi the world’s largest fully integrated defence and security

exhibition which required 6000m2 of shell to be built around already situated

helicopters and tanks. At the same time the build for Offshore began; Europes largest oil show with 7200m2 of shell scheme and

36 freebuild areas. Southampton Boat Show with 10 freebuild areas and Top

Drawer at 3000m2 of shell were among the rest of the events over the 14 day

period.

In total

Stanco built over 25,000m2 shell scheme, laid 105,000m2 of carpet, and designed

and fulfilled 82 features and one-off stands.

Added to which the electrical team installed over 17,400 fittings, logistics

battled atrocious winds while lifting a £3.5 million sunseeker, the furniture

team delivered to more than 900 exhibitors and Expo-Systems, the badging and

registration arm to the company, gave 35,000 people access to exhibitions

across the country.

Ben

Gleeson, Group Operations Manager for SPE Offshore Europe 2009 says, “We have

worked with Stanco since 2001 on Offshore Europe and they have always provided

a good service to us. This year’s event was a record breaking event 12% bigger

than previous years with over 1600 exhibitors. The Stanco team worked very hard

to deliver the best event yet, a great performance showing their dedication to

the event.”

Sally de

Swart, Exhibition Director for DSEi says; “Switching contractor on an event is

always rather daunting but Stanco stood up to the challenge and performed well

under pressure.  The build is notoriously

difficult as the space onlys range to over 1000m2 and the shell has to build

around exhibits such as helicopters and tanks. The Stanco team pulled together worked

efficiently and exceeded our expectations.”

Paul

Slaney, Managing Director of Stanco Exhibitions says “September sees some of

our biggest shows of the year and our highest volume of work.  It is a testament to the strong team ethic in

Stanco that these shows have run so well and exceeded organiser

expectation.  We pride ourselves on

working closely with our clients and adapting our offering to their needs –

such a broad range of exhibitions has given us the chance to really test our

flexibility to do so and the sheer number of shows and volume of work proves

our capability to perform amazingly well under pressure.”
