The Association of Event Venues (AEV) has appointed Claire Monk as membership executive for the association. Claire arrives fresh from a position in an IT consultancy in Sydney, Australia and brings with her detailed experience of advertising, marketing and human resources. Claire will be responsible for the day to day enquiries from all AEV members, and will also be helping the association deliver and enhance its many working groups, industry projects and communications channels.

Chris Skeith, AEV director said: "The AEV continues to deliver more and more peer to peer networking opportunities to the members, last year we had 20 working group meetings alone engaging over 260 individuals from the membership, and turning to 2013 we already have a new group, and 26 meetings in the calendar so levels of engagement are only ever going to get bigger. These meetings require careful co-ordination and planning and Claire brings a wealth of experience to help us deliver these valuable events to the membership at large. She has a great personality with which to develop strong relationships within the membership to further grow participation. We very much look forward to working with Claire in her new role and introducing her to members over the coming months."
