Audio visual equipment hire company nets top award
DB Systems has been named Equipment Supplier of the Year at the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) Excellence Awards 2010.
The IT and audio visual equipment hire company was praised by AEO judges for its "fantastic product innovation", as well as enviable efforts in bringing "exciting new products" to the market.
David Bulley, managing director of DB Systems, said the company was "thoroughly delighted" with the win.
"The event and exhibition industry is experiencing some difficult trading times, but DB has always been able to invest in new equipment and technologies."
"Since January we've invested £250,000 in things like seamless LCD panels, 3D Pyramoid units, which are a form of 3D holographic projection, as well as Microsoft Surface units, a revolutionary multi-touch system."
He added that the company feels it is important to continually update its inventory in order to ensure the latest AV equipment is available to clients.
Other winners at the awards included CEVA Freight Build, which netted the Supplier Team of the Year accolade, and Qdos Exhibitions, which won the Stand Design and Build Supplier of the Year prize.
