IET London: Savoy Place will host the launch of the 2012-13 Britain for Events campaign, taking place on Wednesday, 4th July.

The stylish Riverside Room, recently host to a number of special events around the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant will host the launch, to be attended by Members of Parliament, government officials and key industry profiles.

Britain for Events has been endorsed by John Penrose MP, Minister for Tourism & Heritage, and is supported by Nick de Bois MP, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Events, and the Business Visits & Events Partnership.

“The launch will see the unveiling of this year’s campaign, with a clear message from the UK events industry to business and government,” commented Michael Hirst, spokesperson for the campaign. “This is a massive year for UK events and we are already showing ourselves to be global masters in business, cultural, sporting and entertainment spectacles, and with the right support we can be even better.”

“IET London: Savoy Place is already looking to be one of the key venues over the course of 2012, and with UK events taking centerstage across our other venue destinations in Birmingham and Glasgow, we’re looking forward to supporting a very big year for events in the UK,” comments Sean Spencer from IET Venues.

The UK events industry has also made its way into the GREAT Britain campaign, with an ‘Events are GREAT Britain’ creative developed following discussions with the Britain for Events campaign.
