BTHA appoints GES to deliver the Toy Fair for 3 years

Global Experience Specialists (GES) have secured a three year deal to deliver the Toy Fair on behalf of the The British Toy & Hobby Association (BTHA) from January 2014 at Olympia, in the 61st anniversary year of the show.

Global Experience Specialists (GES) have secured a three year deal to deliver the Toy Fair on behalf of the The British Toy & Hobby Association (BTHA) from January 2014 at Olympia, in the 61st anniversary year of the show.

The decision to award GES the contract to supply shell scheme, carpet, electrics and graphics was based upon the successful relationship between the BTHA, GES and the association members. Simon Pilling, Head of Toy Fair Operations & Sales explains, “Because this is an association show, many of the exhibiting companies are members of the association. It is their show and they know just how they would like it to work. The relationship between the main contractor and the BTHA is important, but more so, is the relationship between the main contractor and the exhibitors, and it is the management of this relationship by GES which has encouraged us to commit to another three years working with them.”

Selling out every year since relocating to Olympia, the Toy Fair has grown annually and expanded to take the entirety of both floors of the Grand and the West halls. The show will total 22,000 sqm in 2014 when it reaches its 61st birthday and will have approximately 260 companies exhibiting.

“As an organiser we receive tremendous support from our GES account director, Mike Chambers, and the extended team on site, including Craig Sinclair. It’s a great team and they are a pleasure to work with. They just get on with the job and deliver,” concluded Pilling.
