Underlining its commitment to the professional print market, Canon Middle East will have its largest ever presence at Gulf Print & Pack 2011, the region’s premier show dedicated to the printing and graphics industry. For the first time, Canon and Océ products and solutions will be demonstrating together, exhibiting the broadest portfolio of production and large format printing systems now available to the professional print market.

Canon, the world Leader in digital imaging will show its customers how to make the leap to new opportunities and revenue streams by displaying value-added digital print services. This will demonstrate more efficient ways of working, including web to print solutions, Canon’s complete workflows and its Business Builder Program.

“The two years since the last Gulf Print & Pack have been a period of enormous change for Canon Middle East and our professional print customers”, commented Ayman Aly, Production Print Product Manager, Canon Middle East.

“The last show in 2009 was the launch platform for Canon Production Print Solution in the Middle East and North Africa regions, which marked Canon’s real debut as a serious contender in the production print marketplace. Since then we’ve worked consistently to develop and release a world-class range of professional print technologies, solutions and business development tools, all designed to help professional printers evolve their businesses and achieve better margins by creating new value-added services.”

Canon Middle East stand at Gulf Print & Pack will be divided into dedicated zones that will showcase how the same product can efficiently perform different print jobs based on the printing application and vertical market requirements. The demonstrations will help to address the production challenges that Canon’s professional print customers face within the graphic arts and CRD sectors. Customers can see a series of value-added digital print opportunities and business building services that could enable them to develop their business further and open up new revenue opportunities.

Among the range of products, the highlights will include several imagePRESS colour and monochrome presses and Oce VarioPrnt 6000, many of which will be running live customer jobs managed by the Helix Production Workflow. The new imageRUNNER ADVANCE PRO series of light production engines will offer new-to-digital printers an affordable and scalable point of entry to the benefits of digital light production. Commercial printers and CRDs looking to harness the business potential of large format applications such as graphics and signage will see a selection of Canon imagePROGRAF and Oce Arizona printers, offering photo quality and optimal productivity.

Lina Alousta, Show Director, Gulf Print & Pack, adds: “We are very pleased to have Canon exhibiting at Gulf Print & Pack again this year and the fact that they will have such a big presence showcasing their innovative solutions at the show is very exciting. The company is one among many global manufacturers that will be demonstrating their cutting-edge solutions and machinery, proving extremely valuable to all those printers and converters who will be attending Gulf Print & Pack in March.”

Gulf Print & Pack takes place at Airport Expo in Dubai from 14 to 17 March and is a must-attend event for commercial and packaging printers in the MENA region. Delegates will see live demonstrations of the latest systems and materials, and learn about global printing and packaging trends and technologies. The event is also an excellent opportunity for delegates to network and meet with industry experts.
