Case Study – LIME

8th March 2010

Client:  LIME (The new Caribbean business launched by Cable and Wireless)

Programme:  A series of dedicated

training events throughout the Caribbean.

Phase 1

Venues:  Grand

Cayman 18-23 April 2009

Virgin Islands 27-30 May 2009

               Jamaica 15-19 July 2009

                             25-29 July 2009

Space:  4.5m x 4.5m, open to the

front and erected within a tented area.

Early client interest was shown in the

impressive gallery of past jobs on the Access Displays/Design Shop web site,

during March 2009. Initial discussions and briefings with Access Displays’ MD, Neil Brown, then followed.

There were a number of parties involved in

the early stages of the project, including Graystone Learning Solutions, based

in Swindon and many conference calls

took place with LIME’s various Business Unit Managers and procurement

personnel, often to accommodate the time difference between the Caribbean and

the UK.

The main requirement was for the stand to

have a ‘shop feel’ and photos of a typical outlet were supplied. The design

would feature well lit display areas, while the overall finish would reflect

the client’s strong colour branding.

addition, the construction method used would need to be suitable for assembly

on site by LIME staff.

It was proposed that the bespoke

infrastructure be built in modules, each fitted with cam locks for ease of on

site assembly. The main stand elements would be finished in high gloss, black,

white and pink laminate, and set on a click together slate effect, wood

laminate floor.

The overall quality ‘retail feel’ would be

further enhanced by a high level of display lighting throughout.

This approach was agreed and with only a

week available, from sign off to loading, construction began.

As well as the design concepts which

‘wowed’ all parties, the decision to appoint Access Displays was strongly

influenced by  the company’s ‘24/7’

service ethos and its ability to work in partnership with LIME in the venture.

Eye catching

portable displays, using pop ups and roller banners – the ideal solution for

Phase 2.

Identical kits were air freighted to St. Lucia and Antigua

in August, to complete the project.

Phase 2 was conducted as a joint effort,

with LIME identifying many of the elements of the roadshow kit and using Access

Displays as a single source supplier and consolidation point.

A partial pre-build was undertaken at

Access Displays to familiarise LIME personnel with the products, prior to

heading up the install in the Caribbean.

“With regard to the Grand

Cayman install, I can sum up in very few words:

Professional, timely and excellent service.

I cannot fault in any way!”
