Clarion Events adds Counter Terror Expo to defence portfolio

<p>Clarion Events has bought defence and security exhibition Counter Terror Expo from fellow <a href="http://www.tsnn.co.uk/conference_organisers/suppliers" target="self">conference organisers</a> Niche Events.</p><p>The firm has added the award-winning show to its portfolio of security exhibitions, which includes the Defence Systems and Equipment event, the Latin America Aero and Defense conference, ITEC and the Undersea Defence Technology in Europe and Asia exhibition.</p><p>Gordon Payne, managing director of Clarion Defence and Security, said the firm''''s range of events allowed it to meet the needs of a "fast-changing" market for military technologies and systems.</p><p>"The acquisition of Counter Terror Expo further strengthens our market-leading position," he added.</p><p>When it was unveiled last year, the exhibition attracted over 4,000 visitors, winning Best Trade Launch Show at the <a href="http://www.tsnn.co.uk/event_management_organisers/suppliers" target="self">Event Organisers</a> Excellence Awards last month.</p><p>Last month, dmg world media revealed that it was selling the EDF Energy Ideal Home Show, saying it was looking to focus more on business-to-business exhibitions.<br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-19256185-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
