<p>Conferencing and events venues are to be offered a specialist 'one-stop shop' insurance policy designed to protect against all conceivable worst-case scenarios. </p><p>Just weeks after the historic Grand Pier at Weston-super-Mare, which was home to a 2,000-seater leisure venue, was destroyed in a blaze, Hiscox has announced that it is to offer its new policy to businesses such as convention centres, exhibition halls, theatres and cinemas across the UK. </p><p>In addition to covering against buildings and contents, the policies will also offer protection against loss of income and for employer's liability. </p><p>John Heaney, commercial underwriter for Hiscox UK, which is part of the world-famous Lloyds group, explained: "By creating a dedicated product and service, we are able to be flexible to our customer's needs. </p><p>"We believe there are many opportunities in this area and that clients and brokers alike will benefit from access to our 'one stop shop' for business insurance."</p><p>Mr Heaney added that the new insurance product is also designed to protect against the ever-growing threat of cyber attacks on conference venues' computer systems. <br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-18749042-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
