<p>Major hospitality chain Corus Hotels has selected a variety of enterprise solutions to improve operations at a number of its UK sites.</p><p>The company will be using the Epitome property management system (PMS) and the Core central reservation system (CRS), through a deal with SoftBrands. The new technology will be implemented at sites including Burnham Beeches Hotel, Corus Hotel Elstree in Herfordshire and Belsfield Hotel in Windermere. </p><p>David Westerby, area manager of Corus Hotels, said: "We have been operating two different property management systems at our hotels and we were seeking a partner who would be our sole point of contact for software concerns."</p><p>SoftBrands will be orchestrating a phased introduction of the technology, and when fully installed it should make life easier for both holidaymakers and business tourists seeking a conference venue. </p><p>Most bedrooms throughout the 11 Corus hotels in the UK offer working space for business tourists.</p><p>World-first.co.uk reports new figures from Hotels.com revealing that UK hotel year-on-year room rates declined by around three per cent in the autumn of this year. <br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-18942937-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
