Coventry University has announced a partnership with event management software company, Eventsforce. The company will assist the university in the development of courses and qualifications as part of both the undergraduate and postgraduate Event Management degree programmes.

Eventsforce will be involved in the development of the courses at a strategic level, aiming to create a qualification that has practical and real-world commercial benefits.

The content of the course will be tailored to help students gain an understanding of how to effectively use Eventsforce’s event management software suite and understand the benefits that event technology can bring to event professionals and delegates.

George Sirius, CEO of Eventsforce, commented: "I am proud that Eventsforce has teamed up with Coventry University. It is so important to nurture the new talent from an early stage as these students represent the future of the events industry. We want to begin to bridge the increasing gap between academia and industry by helping to develop a course built around key learning points that we believe are essential in the events industry, based on our experiences of almost 10 years. By doing so, we will be producing a course that is of benefit not only to the students, but also to the work environment that they will soon be entering."

Ian Webster, Senior Lecturer at Coventry University, added: "Our partnership with Eventsforce ticks all the relevant boxes. After completing the Eventsforce Certification Programme, as part of their curriculum, our event management students will be ahead of the game when it comes to graduate employment and placements within the events industry."
