DB Group launches showcase solution for event organisers’ feature areas

DB Group, a leading audio-visual and IT hire supplier, has created a bespoke package for event organisers’ to spotlight exhibitor’s products in a feature area with their interactive “Smart Windows” showcase.

DB Group, a leading audio-visual and IT hire supplier, has created a bespoke package for event organisers’ to spotlight exhibitor’s products in a feature area with their interactive “Smart Windows” showcase.

The Smart Windows are a cut above traditional product display cabinets because the glass front has been replaced by a transparent touchscreen – a la Minority Report. This allows a product to be spotlighted inside the cabinet, while information about the product is displayed onscreen in front of it, with the product still visible behind.

The Smart Windows not only provide the opportunity to choreograph a stunning product reveal – for example, by playing video on the screen through which the product can’t be seen, and then dissolving to reveal the product behind at the end – but they can also be used to actively capture leads. The touchscreen element means that visitors can type in their email address to receive more information about a particular product.

I really like the fact they’re touchscreen so can be used to request more information – generating leads for exhibitors like this would really add value.”

The Smart Windows can be provided in a range of different layouts to fit the space available, including free-standing plinths, or DB can work with organiser’s contractors to custom build the space. The transparent touchscreens can easily be loaded with exhibitor content at no additional cost, or custom-content can be created if required.
