DB Systems, a supplier of bespoke Audio Visual (AV) and IT equipment, has invested in the latest indoor high res 3.9mm LED screen, which will offer their customers an even greater choice of large format video-wall options.

Oliver Richardson explains: “For the most part, large-scale video walls have historically been built from modular plasma or LCD screens; in fact DB were the first UK AV company in 2005 to bring these products to the UK’s exhibition stand designer’s and they have been hugely popular ever since. However, now that LED technology is approaching a 3mm pixel pitch we feel the time is right to invest in high resolution LED that is suitable for the indoor events sector. The 3mm pixel pitch means the pixels are much closer together than in previous incarnations, which means the resolution remains high quality at lesser distances – traditionally if you got within a few metres of a large-scale LED screen, it looked incredibly pixelated, but these units display HD quality imagery if you are standing just a few metres from them.”

The 3.9mm LED are perfect for installations which may have previously used a 16 panel LCD wall - generally anything over 4m in width. The modular units join DB’s growing inventory of LED focused technology, including over 300 LED screens and the world’s largest LED TV at 90 inches.

David Bulley, DB Systems Managing Director commented: “This is a brand new area of investment for us, but one we are very committed to. Our clients are increasingly demanding the latest cutting edge technology and the highest quality and sharpest imagery possible to showcase their brands, and this new generation of LED technology leads the way for superb quality of image.”

The units are lighter, easier to ship and quicker to install and dismantle than previous systems and DB are really excited about their imminent arrival. They are currently taking enquiries for the product, which will be available from August.
