Temporary structure specialist De Boer has lived up to its name by appointing a Mr Covers as its group-wide Chief Executive Officer.

Lucas Covers, 46, took up the role of De Boer Group CEO this month, based at the business’s head office in Alkmaar, the Netherlands. He succeeds Peter Dekker, who remains on the Management Board.

De Boer, whose motto is “De Boer Covers All”, sees the appointment as a further important step in its ongoing development. Supervisory Board Chairman Hugo Levecke said: “I have full confidence in the capabilities of Lucas Covers to lead the company and to establish further growth.”

Mr Covers joins De Boer from the Amsterdam offices of Philips Consumer Electronics, where he was Chief Marketing Officer. He had previously served in Paris as CEO of Philips Electronics’ Business Group Home Networks.

A graduate of industrial design engineering at the University of Delft, Mr Covers now lives with his wife and family in Amsterdam.
