Entries for Event Production Awards exceed expectations

The judging panel for this year’s highly anticipated Event Production Awards (EPS), held on the 5th February, has claimed the standard of entries has exceeded their expectations.

The judging panel for this year’s highly anticipated Event Production Awards (EPS), held on the 5th February, has claimed the standard of entries has exceeded their expectations.

Over 150 entries have been received from industry suppliers, organisers, manufacturers and promoters seeking recognition for the events that made 2012 a memorable year.

The nine-strong judging panel said the variety of entries demonstrated not only the sheer breadth of work undertaken in the past year but also the unprecedented level of collaboration between industry professionals.

Goodwood event operations director Christopher Salmon commented: "I was very impressed with the quantity and quality of the submissions to the Event Production Awards and I'm looking forward to seeing the winners pick up their just desserts at the London Lancaster on 5 February." With over 70 per cent of the tickets sold for the awards presentations on 5th February at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, organiser Mash Media expects the evening will be one of the highlights on the industry calendar.

“As we draw closer to the opening of the Event Production Show, there is a growing level of excitement and anticipation within the industry,” said Duncan Siegle, event director at Mash Media. “Professionals are keen to showcase their products and services while at the same time ensuring they have booked their places at the awards for an evening of networking, sharing experiences and celebrating. With demand for tables soaring, we are confident this will be a sell-out event.”

A mix of around 70 different companies and individuals are on the shortlist for the 21 awards. The Event Production Show will be held on 5th and 6th February at Olympia, London.
