ESSA has also arranged for Emma Wellman, the chair of the ESSA/AEV/AEO cross association working group on sustainability, to represent the associations on a panel of experts at the event.

ESSA's support of the summit continues its ongoing pledge to pursue a “seat at the table” wherever there is dialogue in the marketplace important to its members. In 2012 the association has liaised and developed relationships with WRAP, HSE, SIA, and Nactso amongst others.

“SES is promising to provide a high level of debate", said ESSA technical adviser Lee Holloway, "and so we’re happy to secure privileged access for any of our members wishing to attend. We feel that most members have embraced sustainability for some time now, understanding it to be a route to efficiency, commercial reputation and profitability so we welcome the Summit and hope it will offer a platform to put this across."

ESSA also has plans under way for a scheme to help members communicate their existing sustainable practices more effectively to their stakeholders.
