The Nursery World Show enjoyed nearly double the number of visitors in 2010 compared to the previous year, new figures show.

Event organisers Haymarket Exhibitions announced that over 3,000 visitors attended the show, which is the company's second biggest exhibition.

The show was held between January 22nd and 23rd at the Business Design Centre in Islington, where there was a variety of exhibition stands to view as well as 15 seminars to take part in.

Haymarket's Autosport International event in early January also enjoyed a similar increase in attendance.

"The financial performance was excellent with a significant year-on-year increase," said Gavin Brown, managing director of Haymarket Exhibitions.

"This year both Nursery World Show and Autosport International have demonstrated an upturn in consumer and trade confidence," he added.

Ideal Home Show event organisers Media 10 recently announced that they have chosen Suzi Perry to be the celebrity face of the exhibition.
