Event organisers 'invited to submit award applications'

<p><a href="http://www.tsnn.co.uk/conference_organisers/suppliers" target="self">Conference organisers </a>are being invited to submit nominations for the 2009 Event Awards as the categories for the industry's most prestigious accolades have been announced.</p><p>Among the gongs up for grabs are best <a href="http://www.tsnn.co.uk/exhibition_stands/suppliers" target="self">exhibition stand</a>, event supplier of the year, best conference, exhibition organiser of the year, caterer of the year and the green award, Event Magazine reports.</p><p>The ceremony - the only occasion when innovation in displays and creative events are recognised in the same night - will be held at one of London's best venues in September, according to the publication.</p><p>Entrants for the <a href="http://www.tsnn.co.uk/exhibition_stands/suppliers" target="_self">exhibition stand </a>award will need to demonstrate how their model exceeded the brief by detailing visitor numbers, client endorsement and an increase in sales for the product on show, among other things.</p><p>In other news, the Events 2012 and Beyond conference takes place this week at Earls Court, with speakers advising people from the industry about how they can make the most of the London Olympics.<br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-19040119-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
