Jack Morton Worldwide has been appointed by the Ministry of Defence to create an event to mark the dedication of a World War I cemetery.

Jack Morton Worldwide has been appointed by the Ministry of Defence to create an event to mark the dedication of a World War I cemetery.

The event organisers will provide the creative content, production, technical and logistical infrastructure for the ceremony in Fromelles, northern France, which will also mark the reinternment of 250 Australian and British soldiers who died in battle there.

A ceremonial procession, tributes and testimonies from soldiers' relatives will feature in the event, which will conclude with the final reinternment of an unknown soldier.

"This poignant event will tell an extraordinary story and remind us of a key moment in history to which we are all connected in some way. We feel honoured to be a part of it," commented David Zolkwer, director of public events at Jack Morton.

The company was also behind the fireworks display to mark midnight on New Year's Eve 2009, producing the event for the sixth consecutive year.
