<p>A UK hotel chain is offering an unusual option on its menu for conference-goers - bread and water.</p><p>Best Western has launched what it calls "message-focused" menu options, including basic items, which it suggests may be chosen by <a href="http://www.tsnn.co.uk/conference_organisers/suppliers" target="_self">conference organisers </a>when their firms are under-performing. </p><p>"With the current economic climate, we thought that we should offer some menu options that organisers can use to help support their messages, be they a rallying cry, a celebration or could do better," says James Parkinson, corporate marketing manager at the firm.</p><p>It is an idea which originated in the US, when the boss of a major company took his management team to a restaurant in San Francisco and fed them bread and water following the announcement of poor financial results.</p><p>Best Western's latest offering marks a strong contrast to the range of packages recently launched by St David's Hotel in Cardiff.</p><p>The air, land and sea experiences include an off-road adventure and a half-day of sailing lessons, according to Events Review.<br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-19027840-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
