Event organisers 'still pleased at motorcycle show turnout'

Almost 100,000 people attended Carole Nash Motorcycle Live held recently at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham.

Almost 100,000 people attended Carole Nash Motorcycle Live held recently at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham.

This is fewer than the event organisers had hoped for, but they were still pleased that so many braved the winter weather to attend the show from November 27th to December 5th.

Steve Martindale, general manager at Honda, hailed the Birmingham venue's nine-day event a success.

"This year's event has possibly been the best we've seen in a number of years with a really fresh new feel and great buzz around the halls," he said.

According to the NEC Group, 38 manufacturers and almost 200 other exhibitors were present at this year's Carole Nash Motorcycle Live.

It included a variety of features in order to pull in the crowds, such as interactive displays and a myriad of bike-themed entertainment.

Event organisers are currently working to prepare for the National Fine Arts and Antiques Fair that is set to take place at the Birmingham NEC in January.
