The winners of the 2013 Event Production Awards were announced yesterday evening to an excited audience at The Lancaster London Hotel.

Recipients included Showsec for best security company and Star Events Group for best overall supplier.

Hosted by Canadian comic Tom Stade, the second year of the awards saw strong representation across all the categories, with many of the nominees having worked on major events during 2012′s historic events calendar.

Artistic director of the Olympic and Paralympic closing ceremonies Kim Gavin received the Access All Areas special award for his delivery of the much praised events.
