The Event Production Show 2014 is preparing to open the doors of its new home at Earls Court 2 in a little over a month.

The Event Production Show has been the annual meeting place for everyone involved in the events industry for more than 20 years. Organisers Mash Media are currently 40% up on the amount of m2 stand space sold compared to this time last year, with over 200 suppliers already confirmed to exhibit. This includes 40 new exhibitors, all of whom are set to showcase their very latest products and services.

2014 will effectively be the first show completely put together by the Mash Media team, as the company acquired the show only a few months prior to last year’s event. Event Director Donna Bushell says that some of the changes made in 2013 have given them an ideal platform to build on: “There is no doubt that the success of the show in 2013 gave us an excellent platform to grow and develop the show. The changes that we made really improved the visitor experience. Placing the Access Sessions on the Main Stage, at the heart of the show and with a tighter layout, created a real buzz. It allowed visitors to get involved and interact on a much greater scale than previous shows.”

Confirmed speakers for the Access Sessions include Richard Vincent from brand experience agency Jack Morton Worldwide, who will chair a panel debate on the benefits of experiential activity at large events vs. creating bespoke pop-up events for brands. Jim King, event director at AEG Live/Loud Sound will also feature in the sessions, discussing the successful ‘Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time’ series of concerts.

Donna added: “We’re really pleased with how the Access Sessions line-up is coming together. We have an additional headline session planned for the opening morning of the show, which is set to be the best yet. The move to Earls Court 2 affords us more space and allows us to increase the content we offer our visitors and focus on specific sectors.”

The show organisers are set to announce further additions to the Access Sessions lineup, along with new feature areas for the event, early in the new year.
