<p>One of events industry's most important annual conventions is to take place at the Brighton Seafront Holiday Inn in July.</p><p>The Summer Eventia, which brings together <a href="http://www.tsnn.co.uk/conference_organisers/suppliers" target="_self">conference organisers </a>and professionals from the sector, is described as a "key educational and networking" opportunity.</p><p>It attracted 250 attendees last year, when it was held at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester.</p><p>Trade body Eventia, which runs the convention, says the organisation will be working closely with the host venue as well as Visit Brighton to build on the success of 2008's conference.</p><p>Izania Downie, chief executive of Eventia, says: "This is the first time that we've taken the event to a seaside resort destination. We are impressed with the conference planning team at the venue." </p><p>Last week, John Greenway, parliamentary advisor for the body, spoke in the House of Commons about the importance of tourism and the events industry for jobs and economic action, calling on the government to take more action to help the sector. <br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-19071229-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
