The Coys Spring Classics Auction, an annual event held at the Royal Horticultural Halls (RHH) has had yet another successful show. This year the auction included the Rock Legends sale where guitars and rock memorabilia previously owned by stars such as Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Holly went under the hammer alongside motors owned by Rod Stewart and Dusty Springfield.

The Rock Legends sale featured more than 45 vintage guitars associated with some of the most famous names from the music world, including Eric Clapton, The Who and George Harrison. The motor section included a Ferrari 575 Superamerica F1A and a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder both owned by rocker Stewart, a small Citroen once owned by Springfield, and the Aston Martin DB5 which appeared in the video for Robbie Williams' 1998 hit single, Millennium.

Maugie Lyons of the RHH says: “Coys has been coming to the Halls for the past eight years and the show is constantly evolving. It’s great that we are able to work so closely with the organisers to accommodate their requirements.” The RHH is a finalist in Exhibition News’s 2009 awards and continues Maugie: “The fact that we strongly support our clients and enable events to grow and develop is the reason that our repeat business rates improve year on year and why we have been nominated for the Best Venue Support award.”
