Furniture hire company adds new sales staff

Two new faces are set to join the sales staff at Thorns, the company has announced.

The furniture hire firm said Leona Byrne, who has gained a wealth of experience in the Australian events industry and has worked for exhibition supplier ExpoNet, will join its team.

As part of the Thorns Furniture and Catering Equipment Hire division, Ms Byrne will target new business as well as working with existing clients.

"I am thrilled to be working in the events industry in the UK. Thorns is a leading player in the sector and I hope I can use my expertise to gain new contracts."

Laura Russell is also joining the company, where she will take on the role of sales administrator.

Clair Whitecross, Thorns' Group sales director, said: "Leona and Laura are real assets to the company and we are delighted to have them on our team. They both bring with them a wealth of experience and industry knowledge which is a great step forward in expanding the business."

It follows the company's announcement that it had secured contracts at the Royal International Air Tattoo and the Royal Air Force Waddington International Air Show.
