Global Experience Specialists (GES) Logistics has chosen Frankfurt as its new business location, a logistics sweet spot combining the best and fastest road, rail and air links to Europe, the UAE, and the rest of the world. Frankfurt Airport is a key European cargo hub, handling 2.25 million tons of cargo annually.

Formerly sited in Velbert, on the fringes of the Ruhr, the new GES Logistics office opened for business on Monday July 29th in the cargo area at Frankfurt Airport.

GES Logistics has recruited two industry experts to the company, Uwe Seidel and Roland Heppner. Uwe and Roland are both seasoned veterans of event logistics, with expertise in international air freight, international freight forwarding and exhibition freight. Both have worked extensively in the region amassing vital contacts and industry knowledge that will prove invaluable to GES Logistics’ ongoing success and client service.

Phil Powell, GES EMEA director of logistics, was enthusiastic about the developments, "After a long, close look at the business, we undertook measures to position GES Logistics as the prime mover in European event logistics. The move to Frankfurt Airport has put us at the centre of European air freight, and the high speed rail and road links we need are right on our doorstep. Uwe and Roland's expertise in event logistics, and their connections with key personnel in the event logistics sector in Frankfurt, and all across Europe, enabled us to hit the ground running on July 29th. It's been a tremendously exciting time for all of us."
