Global Event Summit delegate registration set to sell out

The mid June level of delegate registration for the Global Event Summit (GES) far exceeds the previous two editions of this strategic gathering of the international exhibition community.

The mid June level of delegate registration for the Global Event Summit (GES) far exceeds the previous two editions of this strategic gathering of the international exhibition community. Over 60% of the delegate places are already allocated and the summit is set to sell out ahead of schedule, report organisers tfconnect. GES takes place on 7 - 9 September 2011 at London’s Syon Park, a brand new Waldorf Astoria five star resort hotel, and is exclusively attended by 130 event industry chairmen, CEO’s, MD’s, board, portfolio and divisional directors from around the globe.

Trevor Foley, tfconnect managing director says, "Bearing in mind a significant amount of the discussion at GES focuses on strategy, M&A, launches and geo-cloning I believe the unprecedented attention GES is currently attracting must be attributed to its compelling content and high calibre speakers. Added to the fact we have allocated places to private equity and venture capital delegates for the first time this year. I also believe the success of this event is another strong indicator that the global exhibition industry is experiencing a return to growth."

Chaired by Simon Kimble of Clarion Events, whose global business has grown dramatically in recent years through both acquisition and organic growth, the theme of the Summit centres around four global strategy presentations from Reed, UBM, Clarion & Messe Stuttgart and a Chris Hughes chaired panel session, involving all four parties.

Weaved around this are a series of contributions from Denzil Rankine of AMR and there are interviews with some of the most successful global players in our industry – David Levin of UBM; Nancy Hasselback of Diversified Business Communications, Galen Poss of DMG and Stephen Brooks of Mack Brooks Exhibitions. Top TV news reader and journalist Mary Nightingale will interview providing a unique insight into their organisations’ development, growth and expansion activities.

There are also case studies from Tarsus Exhibitions, Messe Frankfurt and from Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

The Summit will conclude with what will be three very different contributions from Roger Shashoua, Bruce Robinson and Chris Hughes. Roger is the latest speaker to be announced with two large scale international businesses launches to his credit and the book ‘Dancing with the Bear: An Entrepreneur goes East’.

"But it’s not all about content," says Trevor, "the Summit also focuses on meaningful connection and there will be lots of opportunities to engage with the most influential people in the international event community."
