Global summit for event organisers to be launched

<p>Trevor Foley is to launch the Global Summit for international <a href="http://www.tsnn.co.uk/event_management_organisers/suppliers" target="self">event organisers</a> and venues, aiming to forge intercontinental partnerships between industry leaders.</p><p>Mr Foley, the former boss of the Association of <a href="http://www.tsnn.co.uk/event_management_organisers/suppliers" target="self">Event Organisers</a>, is the brains behind the conference at the Grove from September 1st to the 3rd, which will be chaired by Stephen Brooks, head of Mack Brooks Exhibitions, according to Event Magazine.</p><p>Chairman of Reed Exhibitions Mike Rusbridge will also give a keynote address and there will be opportunities for networking and a series of sessions that will target conventions in regions such as Western Europe, Latin America, south-east Asia and Russia.</p><p>"This event has been launched because 'thinking global' is occupying the thoughts of more and more <a href="http://www.tsnn.co.uk/event_management_organisers/suppliers" target="self">event organisers </a>and venues," Mr Foley told the news provider.</p><p>VisitBritain is among the government agencies supporting the convention.</p><p>In related news, One Wimpole Street will play host to the Sustainable Events summit in May, which promises to offer <a href="http://www.tsnn.co.uk/conference_organisers/suppliers" target="self">conference organisers </a>50 practical steps for becoming environmentally-friendly.<br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-19124189-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
