<p>A new conference centre in Wales it to be opened by an internationally-renowned harpist, it has been reported.</p><p>Event organisers have revealed that Welsh harpist Catrin Finch is to deliver a one-off special concert to mark the opening of Glyndwr University's new conference centre on Thursday July 23rd, the North Wales Daily Post reports.</p><p>Furthermore, the £3 million development is to be named after the star and will be known in future as the Canolfan Catrin Finch Centre.</p><p>Conference organisers will soon be able to use the 200-seater theatre and conference centre, which has been kitted out with modern equipment such as hi-tech audiovisual facilities.</p><p>Furthermore, the site is due to host a wide variety of entertainment events.</p><p>"The Canolfan Catrin Finch Centre is undoubtedly one of the best venues for live music and theatre that Wrexham has ever seen," Michael Scott, vice-chancellor of Glyndwr University, told the newspaper.</p><p>Meanwhile, it has been announced that the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre and Ballroom will host the Green Flag award ceremony next month.<br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-19251568-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
