International Confex and Event Production Show to co-locate in 2015

It has been announced that two of the largest exhibitions serving the UK events industry, International Confex and the Event Production Show, are to co-locate in 2015.

It has been announced that two of the largest exhibitions serving the UK events industry, International Confex and the Event Production Show, are to co-locate in 2015.

The news was confirmed by new owners, Mash Media, live at the Event Production Show in Earl's Court, London. The shows will co-locate at Olympia on 18th and 19th February 2015.

Donna Bushell, Event Director of the Event Production Show and International Confex, explained the decision: “This is brilliant news for both brands and more importantly for the visitors and exhibitors to the shows. We said from the beginning we wanted to give these events back to the industry, and through this move we’re giving them the gift of time and allowing them to enjoy the experience of two major exhibitions, in one location, during an intensive two day period.”

The decision was taken following the results of extensive research with visitors and exhibitors at both shows that unanimously showed a desire for the two events to co-locate. The move will create two distinctive buying forums with the opportunity for mass crossover.

Donna added: “Both shows will remain independent, with features and educational programmes aimed towards the specific visitor profile. However, where cross over makes sense for both visitors, we will encourage a steady flow between the shows and a more spectacular feel to both.”

Mash Media has steadily grown the Event Production Show since it took over the show in 2012, and with International Confex already set to flourish in the hands of the new owners, the future of both shows is looking positive.
