A committee of corporate event planners has joined forces with agencies Red Box Communications and Wolf & White to launch the first International Corporate Event (ICE) Awards.

The inaugural ICE Awards, which will take place at The British Museum on 9 July 2015, have been created specifically to recognise and reward in-house corporate event teams. There are nine categories, including Best Product Launch Event, Best Sponsorship Activation Event, Best Customer Retention Event, Best Cultural Change Event and Best Market Engagement Event. Each award category will be measured by its ability to meet its overarching objective.

Hyundai’s event manager Kate Conway, AstraZeneca’s global events manager Joanna Lawlor and BP events manager Nancy John are among an eight-person steering committee for the awards.

The judging panel of 13 events professionals, who have been carefully selected to ensure independence and an understanding of the corporate event world, include the SECC’s Samme Allen, Alexis Butler of Wolf & White, Maritz Travel’s Ben Goedegebuure, The Conference Doctor’s Paul Hussey, Mark Handforth of Compliant Venues and CWT’s Liz Quinton.
