<p>Redevelopment worth around £130 million is due to transform the waterfront of the Dearne Valley, including the creation of a new business park, reports the South Yorkshire Times.</p><p>A new supermarket will stimulate the local economy to the tune of around 40 new jobs, while a series of new homes will be served by a fresh development of shops, takeaways and restaurants. The new facilities will be built on around 285 acres of land with the intention of defying the national downturn and providing new investment for the local community.</p><p>Vicki Ingleby, associate director at Turley Associates, the company that dealt with the original planning application, told the paper: "There is already a huge amount of redevelopment currently underway in the Manvers area and the creation of the new centre is an ambitious next phase."</p><p>Local authorities will be hoping to increase business tourism to the area with conference equipment and facilities within the business park, which in turn could help stimulate the centre.</p><p>The Business Desk reports that Morphy Richards, massively successful manufacturer of domestic appliances, will be moving its base to the Dearne Valley region.<br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-18944283-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
