The Meetings Show UK is continuing to grow its team with the appointments of an additional Sales Manager and Hosted Buyer Manager. The rapidly growing team at Centaur Exhibitions (the Show organiser) has already achieved significant success through a range of partnerships and commitments from across the industry.
Julie Mayeras takes on the role of Hosted Buyer Manger, helping to manage almost £1,000,000 of budget dedicated to delivering 1,500 top class qualified buyers from across the UK and Europe. Julie joins the Meetings Show team from Atout France - the French tourist board, where she spent six years dedicated to the meetings industry. In particular, Julie spent three of those years focused on and based in the UK and Irish markets.
Sale Manager, Adam Garside will work alongside Sales Director, Katy Phelps and her team in the delivery of high quality exhibitors and suppliers using his knowledge of the industry and wide ranging contacts. With a career history that includes specialist services to the event industry as well as experience selling exhibitor space for a range of shows, Adam truly understands exhibitor needs and requirements. Adam joins The Meetings Show UK from IML Group where he was Group Sales Manager for a portfolio of events. Prior to IML Group, Adam gained valuable experience working in the events team at Hiscox Insurance.
The Meetings Show UK's Event Director, Steve Knight commented: "Both Julie and Adam will be significant assets to our fast growing team. Whilst these roles were always a part of our strategic plan, the need for another Sales Manager role has been accelerated to support the significant interest we are seeing in the show.
"As a show organised by meetings professionals for meetings professionals it is vital that all our team, including Hosted Buyer and Sales Managers have significant industry knowledge and expertise. Through various roles both Julie and Adam have a combined total of 15 years experience within the meetings industry, clearly demonstrating their credibility and knowledge."
In addition to the new appointments, The Meeting Show UK has also recently announced a strategic partnership with the Oysters as well as details of their highly influential advisory board, featuring a range of well respected industry leaders and experts.
