Opex buys Stanco
Opex Exhibition Group has acquired Stanco Exhibitions for an undisclosed sum.
“The UK exhibitions industry continues to evolve and change,” says Guy Morgan, chairman of both Opex Exhibition Group, and the new group. “There have been a number of new entrants into the UK market recently and our merger with Stanco Exhibitions will ensure that our customer focus, customer service and customer offerings will continue to be competitive, creative and add value to our clientss businesses.”
For his part, Stanco’s deputy chairman, Neil Jackson, thinks the move is a positive and natural evolutionary move. “The combined strength, resources and investment levels of the new group going forward will ensure that our customers continue to receive the very best,” he says. “The calendar of events serviced by Opex and Stanco are almost completely complementary with minimal overlap, instantly making the new group more efficient with far less peaks and troughs throughout the year.”
