Organisers call for nominations for European event awards

<p>Nominations have opened for the European Best Event Awards (EuBEA) following the success of last year's ceremony.</p><p>Events agencies, advertising firms, publishers, production houses, public bodies and associations and public relations companies that have staged a convention between July 1st 2008 and June 30th 2009 are all eligible to enter.</p><p>"The great success of last year's EuBEA reinforced our belief that an international award was needed by the European events industry to demonstrate the high standards being produced by all the countries," Alessia Bianchi, marketing and communications manager for Italian organisers ADC, told Events Review magazine.</p><p>Last year's awards saw 105 events entered from 12 different countries, with the top prize going to German agency insgluck Gesellschaft fur Markeninszenierung for the opening ceremony at the CeBIT fair, according to the news provider, which is the official UK media partner.</p><p>Meanwhile, the Association of <a href=http://www.tsnn.co.uk/event_management_organisers/suppliers>Event Organisers</a> has announced the shortlist for its Excellence Awards, to be held at London Hilton Park Lane hotel on June 19th.<br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-19181539-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
