Good progress is being made with building temporary accommodation for the Ryder Cup, De Boer has said.

According to the mobile staging company, bad weather had hampered progress but the company recently successfully craned the Double Deck Delta Champagne and Seafood Pavilion into place at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales.

John Cochrane, De Boer's sales director for events, said: "In spite of heavy rain the De Boer crew are making excellent headway and keeping to the schedule. We are making very good progress."

It is the fifth time that the portable staging company has been asked to supply temporary accommodation for the European leg of the world-famous golf tournament.

Edward Kitson, Ryder Cup match director, said: "Temporary structures play a key part in providing public and hospitality facilities at major golf tournaments and De Boer has been a great supporter of both the European Tour and the Ryder Cup for many years."

This year's Ryder Cup takes place from October 1stto 3rd and will feature Colin Montgomerie, Padraig Harrington, Luke Donald and Lee Westwood.
