<p>The Rheged Centre in Cumbria has won the prize for best business tourism venue of the year at the enjoyEngland awards.</p><p>Located in Penrith, the facility beat off competition from ExCel London and Loughborough University's imago conference and event brand to take the accolade at last night's ceremony, held in the National Railway Museum in York to coincide with St George's Day.</p><p>"England is an exciting world-class tourism destination in which to discover something new," said Lady Cobham, chair of VisitEngland.</p><p>The Rheged is an eco-friendly family business which has conference facilities for up to 300 people, including seven meeting rooms and two halls.</p><p>Judges said they chose the centre for "showing that business tourism can be green and continuing to invest to provide the best overall service for business".</p><p>Regional award-winners include the Woodside in Warwickshire, Radisson SAS in Essex, Event Durham, Bristol's the Watershed, Kent Conference Bureau and the Queen's Hotel in Leeds.<br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-19138510-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
