The Institute of Groundsmanship (IOG), organisers of  the ground care and landscaping show SALTEX (Sports Amenities Landscaping Trade Exhibition), has announced that  the show will move to The NEC for 2015.

The exhibition will be held on the 4th and 5th November 2015 at the Birmingham venue, with the move aimed to attract a wider range of exhibitors. The event covers the complete range of grounds care with exhibitors including turfcare and amenity suppliers, specialist machinery manufacturers, contractors, landscaping suppliers and playgrounds. If you design, install, manage or maintain outdoor spaces, SALTEX gives you first hand access to all the latest kit.

Speaking on behalf of the IOG board, Geoff Webb commented: “The IOG board has been looking at ways to improve the format and overall experience of SALTEX for visitors and also create maximum benefit for exhibitors. After evaluating all options, we have decided it’s time to change the date and venue to meet the demands of the industry going forward.”

The NEC’s business development manager David Gallagher added: “We’re delighted to be hosting the IOG’s flagship event, SALTEX, at The NEC, which is a natural home for a national show of this scale.

“Research consistently demonstrates that we deliver the right audiences for our shows, and in this instance, our connectivity and accessibility are critical factors in meeting the demands of the green space management industry.”

SALTEX 2014 will be held at Windsor Racecourse from 2nd to 4th September.
