Showplans' Richard Dove wins Best Client Support Provider at Exhibition News Awards

Showplans Managing Director Richard Dove has received the Exhibition News Award for Best Client Support Provider. The award came on the back of a successful 12 months for Showplans during which Richard made himself indispensable to his floorplan clients, using his design skills to alter plans while keeping a high yield of stand space, his management of a complex show build schedule from designing the floorplans to overseeing delivery of exhibits, and his dedication in going way beyond his brief to provide multiple layout options, all within impossibly tight turnaround times.

Richard was delighted with his award, saying: “2012 was intense for me, both in work and in my personal life as I became a dad early in the year. We've also been developing new initiatives such as our floorplan health-check service and our dynamic stand pricing approach, which increases the number of high-value stand locations while allowing organisers to reduce the price of other sites to encourage smaller exhibitors. Given the competition from large shell-scheme providers offering floorplans as a free add-on, the fact that a small company like Showplans can win such a high profile award shows the industry's growing appreciation for reliable, creative providers who can offer a high floorspace yield alongside layout improvements.”
