<p>The Sustainable Events summit is to take place at One Wimpole Street in London in May this year, it has been announced.</p><p>Lucy Siegle, ethical living columnist for the The Observer and BBC One Show presenter, will chair the conference, and other speakers will include David Stubbs, head of sustainability for the London Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games and Anne Hayes, head of market development sustainability at BSI British Standards.</p><p><a href="http://www.tsnn.co.uk/conference_organisers/suppliers" target="_self">Conference organisers</a> promise attendees, which will include representatives from Wembley Stadium, The Ryder Cup and Virgin Trains, 50 practical steps for becoming sustainable.</p><p>The decision to hold the convention on May 22nd follows the success of last year's Greening Events Summit.</p><p>Last one, it was announced that one of the conferencing industry's most important annual conventions, Eventia, is to take place at the Brighton Seafront Holiday Inn in July.</p><p>The meeting brings together organisers and professionals from the sector and is billed as a key networking opportunity.<br/><img alt="ADNFCR-1753-ID-19105215-ADNFCR" src="http://feeds.directnews.co.uk/feedtrack/justcopyright.gif?feedid=1753&it..." /></p>
