MTO Summit will host a half day conference at Earls Court for event professionals looking to understand how to use social media to promote their events.

The Conference, which takes place on Thursday 25th June 10.30am – 1.30pm, at the Excite! Show at Earl’s Court follows an introductory social media webinar held last week, which was extremely well received, with over 200 industry professionals listening in to learn more about social media. It was sponsored by James Hogg Design.

The Conference will take a more detailed and indepth look at the ways in which social media can be leveraged to increase attendance at events. “Turbo” Todd Watson from IBM will be joined by Arran Coole of ASP Events, Stephen Nold, MeetingTechOnline and Paul Byrom, Upper Street Events.
The speakers will discuss the value and hype of social media, and look at how communities can be extended and how this can drive event audiences. A practical “how to” workshop will demonstrate some simple tactics with real case-studies of how these tactics have been successfully used in the events industry. Paul Byrom of Upper Street Events will present a case study on how Move It and The Gadget Show used social media to generate hype for their events.

At just £50 per ticket, this conference represents excellent value for money and is the only conference in the UK dedicated to discussing the challenges and benefits of social media specifically for the events industry. Don’t miss the opportunity to gain a full understanding of how social media can work for your event and learn how and where to start, with this productive and practical morning conference.
