Thorns Group has reinforced a long-standing relationship

with London's Business Design Centre by being appointed preferred supplier to

the innovative events, exhibitions and conference venue.

The three-year contract means Thorns will provide exhibition,

conference and event furniture to the centre's own functions and will also be

recommended to all outside organisations using facilities on site.

The agreement strengthens a successful partnership between

the furniture hire specialist and the Business Design Centre that has already

seen dozens of assignments being tackled each year.

Under the enhanced relationship, Thorns' furniture will be

available for functions across the centre, which hosts more than 80 exhibitions

and 250 conferences annually and which is permanent home to over 100 businesses

occupying offices and showrooms across its three-storey premises.

Graham Stephenson, Business Design Centre’s Chief Operating

Officer, said: “The Business Design Centre has enjoyed an exceptional

relationship with Thorns Group over many years. The quality of their products,

in addition to the professionalism of their staff and excellent customer

service will make them a welcome addition to the Business Design Centre service

team.

“We are very much looking forward to working even more

closely with Thorns Group in the future.”

The Business Design Centre, which opened in 1986 in

Islington's former Royal Agricultural Hall, has established itself as London's

most stylish venue, attracting more than half a million visitors each year.

Its events, conference and exhibitions facilities include a Conference

Centre linked to a stunning Gallery Hall, as well as a 2,000-square-metre

mezzanine, Executive Centre and syndicate rooms.

In total, the centre offers around 135,000 square feet of

space in one of the most vibrant parts of London.

Adam Aston, Thorns Group's Director of Exhibitions, said:

"Over recent years we have built an excellent working relationship with

the team at the Business Design Centre. Signing a preferred supplier agreement

is excellent news for Thorns Group while also offering the centre and its many

users even greater access to our superb range of exhibition furniture."

Thorns, which conducts its exhibitions business through its

Camden Exhibition Services division, is a long-established supplier of

furniture and catering equipment to many of the country's leading venues. Its products

can already be found at exhibitions staged at high-profile locations across the

UK including London's ExCeL and Earls Court, Birmingham's NEC and ICC and

Manchester Central convention complex.
