On Wednesday 2nd December TSNN hosted the latest in its webinar series with ‘The awesome power of exhibitions’ hosted by CEO of the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) Austen Hawkins. The first of a three part series, the presentation took a back to basics approach to getting the most out of your exhibition stand.
The event was attended by stand staff and organisers and also event organisers who were looking for tips to pass on to their exhibitors. In an increasingly challenging economic situation, where the return on investment or every marketing spend is so closely analysed, it is essential to ensure that the most is made of the face to face contact exhibiting provides.
Austen took attendees back to the basics of setting objectives and working the stand, things which often get overlooked when the pressure is on and time is short. He advised how to set realistic, measurable objectives for lead collection, reiterated the exhibition as the place for establishing contacts rather than making sales and the importance of following up those leads swiftly after the event; something we can all be guilty of neglecting.
