The Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) has announced further endorsements from three leading organisers for it's growing "Use an ESSA member" campaign. Centaur, Nineteen Events and Farnborough International have all agreed to endorse and promote ESSA's campaign to raise awareness of the benefits of using ESSA members.

These endorsements follow close on the heels of the endorsements of the G5 (Clarion Events, dmg :: events, Mayridge Group Ltd, Reed Exhibitions & UBM Plc).

Paul MacDonald, portfolio director at Centaur, commented: "ESSA is at the forefront of the effort to create and maintain excellence amongst event contractors, and for this reason, Centaur will be raising awareness of the campaign and the benefits of using ESSA members at every opportunity."

Jonathan Smith, head of operational development and health & safety for Farnborough International Ltd and FIVE, explained FIL’s decision to promote ESSA and the campaign: "ESSA is doing more than anyone to improve and regularise H&S in the event industry, and we recognise the many benefits of choosing an ESSA member not least for their commitment to the highest standards of healthy and safety."

Mirabelle Chaterjee, head of operations at Nineteen Events, was enthusiastic about their endorsement of the campaign: "This [campaign] is very important, not just to Nineteen Events, but to all the organisers who aren't yet fully aware how important it is to use contractors who meet ESSA's strict qualification requirements. We're making it our responsibility to spread the word."

Chris Skeith, ESSA director, summarised his thoughts on these new endorsements: "Following endorsements from the G5, we now have a total of eight leading organisers taking our campaign to their heart and our message to their peers and clients. This is not just fantastic news for ESSA, but for the event industry as a whole; ESSA members bring guarantees of quality, reliability and probity to their work, and our ambition to have their association membership act as a 'kite mark' within the event industry is one step closer today."
