Live drawing event with award-winning cartoonist Tony Husband on Thursday 7 April 19:00 - 21:00
Leyden Gallery presents an exhibition of paintings, prints and drawings donated by artists from the Creative Collective for Refugee Reliefin aid of Syria Relief. This is a collaboration show between Leyden Gallery and CCRR, curated by Adriana Cerne and Fionn Wilson.
Founded in 2015 by artists Fionn Wilson and Bo Gorzelak Pedersen, CCRR raises funds for refugees via the sale of donations of art from their Facebook community. For the first time working in collaboration with an art gallery, CCRR – who are currently supporting the charity organisation Syria Relief - will be exhibiting at Leyden Gallery who are providing the space for the artworks of some of this creative community of artists. The works are on sale at a very reasonable price to raise funds for Syria Relief.
Leyden Gallery is delighted to support this noble charity cause and help in bringing relief to refugees. We would like to invite you to also join this philanthropic project.
*Syria relief (UK Registered charity no. 1143797) has a very serious donation policy. For every £1 donated, 88.8p goes directly to our beneficiaries. 0.4p is spent on admin and 10.8p is spent on raising more funds. For every £1 that they spend on fundraising, £9.53 is raised. Every £50 raised can feed a family of five for a month.
